The Role

The role will manage a fast-growing Verification & Validation team, implement new processes, ensure a high level of quality in traceability and reporting and provide guidance, direction and training where needed. The role will work closely with other managers across R&D and be responsible for all V&V objectives across the development lifecycle.

Skills and experience

• Proven experience in verification and validation, with a strong background in management and team leadership
• Expertise in setting up a V&V department/team from scratch, including planning and managing the setup and installation of a new department
• Hands-on approach to leading test teams, both internally and with external manufacturing partners, ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment and sub-assemblies
• Proficiency in calibrating new equipment and utilising software tools for product testing and protocols
• Strategic planning and experience in leading a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
• Demonstrated experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, with a focus on electro/mechanical/software devices or systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt and compromise without compromising quality
• Strong understanding of system testing methodologies in highly regulated industries such as consumer/defence/medical/aerospace
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Exposure to embedded systems, RF sensing, sensor fusion, or signal processing technologies is highly desirable
