We are proactive and collaborative, not pushy, and quite simply love the area we work in.

We might be recruiters now, but our founder, Paul, started out as a precision toolmaker, spending many years as an engineer, before moving into product design. We understand what it takes to build a career in engineering and how to run a successful manufacturing company because we’ve been there. A hands on, practical philosophy still guides how we work with clients and candidates today. That said, we’re continually updating our knowledge and get a real buzz from learning about new technological advancements being developed by our clients. Our design and engineering candidates are ultimately the blueprint for our success. We nurture great relationships with top talent and aim to build rapport spanning entire careers.

You will find us collaborating with industry bodies and educating the latest crop of graduates. We create content and actively engage with the industry which naturally gives us access to a high calibre talent pool.

We are not designers, but design enthusiasts with a deep understanding of and connection to the industry. This allows us to look beyond the buzzwords, assess a portfolio in relevant depth as well as understanding drivers and what makes people tick.

A practical approach
to recruitment

Finding the right role takes more than just sifting through job adverts and CVs. One of our clients, a medical device start-up, was looking for someone who could embrace their vision and help them deliver against an ambitious strategy. Finding the right combination of specialist technical skills and cultural fit required an extensive search, and so we created a targeted campaign with the client. And that’s how we found Jane* who was migrating from overseas. But for us the process didn’t stop there – we worked closely with both candidate and client through a meticulous hiring process to make sure they were the right fit for each other.

We’re always on the lookout for great people. Nick* approached us when he was made redundant. Recognising his talent, Paul was able to match him with a Senior Design Engineer role with one of our long standing, award-winning clients. He was so impressed with our approach that we’re now helping Nick to build his own team.

We know that finding the right job isn’t always a quick process, but we believe in investing in talent. That’s why we worked with Charlotte* for 14 months to find her dream role as a Development Manager with a leading product innovation, design and development consultancy in Melbourne. In that time, we explored lots of different opportunities together to make sure we found the right position for them, and we supported them through the complex visa process as they relocated from the UK.
