Head of Industrial Design Permanent / Full Time

We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Industrial Design to join our client’s team and lead their design initiatives to new heights. As a pivotal member of the leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of their product offerings and influence their global presence.
  
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide leadership and direction to a large, talented team of industrial designers
– Harness and articulate a creative vision that aligns with the company’s mission, and confidently lead the team in exploring new design directions
– Cultivate a collaborative working environment by effectively communicating with international teams and integrating diverse perspectives
– Translate company vision into actionable design strategies and ensure these strategies are executed efficiently
– Stay ahead of market and consumer trends with a strong understanding of mass manufacturing processes and user interface design
– Deliver world-class, innovative consumer products from concept to manufacture
  
Required Skills and Experience:
– Circa 15 years of experience in designing consumer/medical products for international markets, with several years of experience in a senior leadership role
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design discipline
– Proven track record of hands-on experience in developing successful products from concept to manufacture
– Strong expertise in visual communications and user interface design
– Familiarity with global market dynamics and deep understanding of consumer needs
– Confidence to explore new ideas and lead the team in groundbreaking directions
– Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, proficiency in Mandarin is highly desired
– Understanding of different cultures – experience of living and working in China will be beneficial
