Fast-growing, innovative, technology-led design and manufacturer, based in Sydney is looking for a Project Manager to work closely with a cross-disciplined team and team leaders to monitor and manage project progress. The Role
As Project Manager within the New Product Development (NPD) team, you will report to the NPD Programme Manager on project progress, risk, critical paths and resource bottlenecks. You will work cohesively with the team to provide practical solutions to roadblocks to deliver the projects on time, within budget and to high quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of projects from briefing through to production in a fast-paced product development environment
- Ensuring all projects uphold a high standard of functional and technical performance
- Managing inputs from key stakeholders
- Assessing and aligning production and fitting processes, ensuring adherence to tolerance chain considerations and design specifications
- Facilitating the handover and execution of cross-functional processes such as quality assurance, manufacturing and pilot runs
- Assisting in compliance and certification processes to meet regulatory requirements
Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of experience in field of project management
- Experience in software and firmware projects
- Experience in consumer electronics or related field
- Experience in both waterfall and agile methodology
- Experience or understanding of Agile Stage Gate process
- Experience in using cross platform online project management
- Experience in Atlassian apps (Asana, Confluence, Slack etc)
- Proactive team player
- Strong organisational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-disciplined team player, able to work in multi-disciplinary team environment
- Good written and verbal communication to all internal and external stakeholders
