The Role
As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will take part in the team's technology development tasks and will also act as an internal subject matter expert on electromechanical systems.
- As part of the technology development team, ideate, prototype, test and de-risk technology concepts for areas of unmet need
- Provide expert mechanical and electrical insights into TDG projects
- Conduct research, document findings, present reports and analyse data to determine trends and recommend outcomes
- Design and develop prototypes that effectively investigate measurement accuracy, sources of noise, and isolation of variables
- Work with the team to Innovate and create, proactively identify and solve technical problems
- Concept definition, experimental design, documentation, and risk management
- Design and execute test plans and experiments
- Collaborate effectively with other teams to develop viable product concepts
Skills and experience
With a degree in a relevant engineering field and 1 to 3 years' experience of working in Medical Device development, you'll have:
- Competence in a 3D modelling package e.g., Solidworks or CREO
- Familiarity with circuit board design and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Python, Matlab, LabView
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving technical problems
- Ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge in testing methodology: preparation, execution, and analysis
- Ability to approach, analyse and summarise external information sources
