Are you an enthusiastic Industrial Designer looking for a new opportunity in Sydney? Our client has a strong foundation in industrial design with various market-leading products performing in line with their international clients' demands. Based on this, they are now looking to expand their Sydney innovation and design team.

My client delivers specialist, physical hardware products and innovative electronics technology to global customers. This is a successful Australian company, with new design headquarters in a great central Sydney location.
The Role
In this Industrial Designer role, you'll be involved in the development of new designs, taking them from conception through to production. You will:
- Imagine & build cutting-edge products, adhering to the company's design language
- Oversee the entire product journey, from concept to launch
- Work cross-functionally to integrate complex engineering concepts into designs
- Liaise with stakeholders, manufacturers and suppliers
- Manage technical aspects, ensuring feasibility & design integrity
- Maintain Documentation: Develop & maintain accurate BOMs, assembly instructions, and CAD models.
- Present impressive design concepts and solutions through modelling, rendering and prototyping
- Communicate with stakeholders and manage project outcomes
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or relevant engineering discipline, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial design, with preference for Defence, Medical, Aerospace or Consumer Electronics industries
- Experience in Solidworks, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keyshot (desirable)
- Strong ideation, sketching and product rendering skills
- Knowledge of complex surface modelling
- Previous experience in design for manufacture with knowledge of various manufacturing techniques
- Excellent task and time management skills
- You would excel in a high empowerment, fast paced environment, surrounded by like-minded, high achieving people

- Australian citizenship preferred for security level clearance requirements
